Calibrated autonomy at every tier
Not all actions carry equal risk. The Trust framework assigns actions to tiers with appropriate governance requirements at each level.
Trust tiers
Read-only
Observational actions with no side effects.
Examples: Query database, read file, fetch API status
Governance: Logged but not gated
Reversible
Actions that can be undone without data loss.
Examples: Create draft, update config, stage changes
Governance: Policy-gated, auto-allowed if compliant
Consequential
Actions with significant but bounded impact.
Examples: Deploy to staging, modify records, send notifications
Governance: Policy-gated, may require approval
Critical
High-impact actions requiring elevated review.
Examples: Production deploy, data deletion, access grants
Governance: Approval required, enhanced audit
